Oast building at Foxbury Farm TQ 55 SE 47/1065

2. Later C19 building of close-jointed random ragstone. Centre block of 3 storeys, 3 windows. Tiled roof with brick cornice. 6 attached round oasts of similar masonry, 2 at each end and 2 behind. All have conical tiled roofs, some now low pitched, but the southern pair retain their tall roofs and cowls. Symmetrical front. At either end a door on each floor; the upper ones under weatherboarded gablets breaking eaves. Another loading door at 1st floor centre above cart entrance. Low, triangular heads to this and to 1st floor windows and ground floor openings. 2nd floor windows segment headed. Square paned casements. Elaborate iron hinges to plank doors.
