2. Records of the house go back to 1600 but the main elevation facing south is C18 with later C19 alterations and modern additions to left. Brick. 2 storeys and 4 leaded dormers. Symmetrical elevation in centre with C18 sash windows, C18 moulded cornice and lead parapet and concealed gutter. Ridge tile roof. Early C19 projecting battlement brick porch with "Gothic" glazed door and "Gothic" window above. At either end, small battlemented turrets with lancet windows. To left, projecting modern random stone additions of 2 storeys and hip tiled roof with plastered cove soffit under eaves and bracketed gutter. Entrance front in new wing but has C18 wrought iron gates; with overthrow, at left.
