1. 5280 WESTERHAM WESTERHAM Vicarage Hill (South Side) Grosvenor House TQ 4454 35/1466 10.9.54. II* GV 2. Early C18 elevation with centre door and 9 sash windows placed symmetrically on 2 storeys. 4 small 1/2 basement lights. Front door in centre, up 3 steps.£ Brick with blue headers, brick plinth and band, end corner pilasters carried up 2 storeys, parapet with stone coping and concealed tile roof with 2 end chimney stacks with recessed panels and moulded cornice. Heavy projecting moulded brick cornice with brick dentils. Flat segmental brick arches of rubbed red headers over windows with red brick voussoirs in centre. Dentilled cornice projecting at corners over end pilasters forming capital. Centre panelled door with square top lights over, splayed panelled reveals, fluted pilasters on either side supporting carved capitals, and ornamental entablature. Flat segmental splayed arch reveal to top of door case with panelled soffit. The street elevation of Grosvenor House is file finest unspoilt early C18 facade in Westerham. The elevational treatment is returned at either end. Grosvenor House and Nos 1 & 2 (Lockyers Place) form a group with Grosvenor House Cottage and Nos 1 & 2 (Dale Cottages) Mill Street.
