Well House with rustic seat. Built between 1810 and 1830 by William Wells. An octagonal structure of rustic poles with roof covered with shingles on stock brick plinth with red and black tiles. 3 sides have a framework of rustic branches 3 sides have entrances and the remaining 2 sides have the remains of benches with backs of vertical planks and thin poles nailed into Gothic shapes with scalloped pattern to the edge of the seat. The roof is boarded over and has 5 large pendants. In the centre is a spring with fountain lined in tiles with stone rockery above. One of a number of garden features on the former Redleaf estate whose gardens are on the English Heritage Register of Historic Parks and Gardens for Kent.
