Description

TQ 4746 HEVER HOW GREEN 15/2000 Hever Lodge GV II House. c1904 by J.L Pearson and was formerly the bailiff's house to Hever Castle. Irregular plan in Kentish vernacular style. Timber framed with plastered infill. Tiled roof with 2 brick chimneystacks. Entrance front has 3 gables with pendants and ovolo-moulding. 3 mullioned windows. Entrance set back in angle with studded plank door. Left side elevation has jetty projecting and a circular colonnade and long down braces. Rear has half-hipped gable. Interior contained at time of survey the original architects drawing for the bailiff's house and the whole model farm complex. Listing NGR: TQ4769146303
