Description

TQ 4746 HEVER HOW GREEN 15/2004 Dairy at Hever Lodge GV II Ornamental dairy. c.1904 by J.L Pearson and part of the model farm complex to Hever Castle. Octagonal structure built of brick with stone window dressings and tiled roof with 8 tiny-copper gablets and copper finial with weathervane. The building is attached to the circular colonnade on each side and to Daisy Cottage to the rear. The front has 4 columns. The interior has moulded green and white tiles with an elaborate tiled cornice of lotus flowers divided by swags and cherubs. Marble shelves to 3 sides. 2 entrances and tessellated floor.
