Description

1. 5280 SHOREHAM SHOREHAM Filston oe (East Side) Row of Almshouses at corner of Church Street TQ 5161 30/1183 II 2. The original charity in connection with these almshouses dates from 1473, but the present row of 3 small almshouses are probably C16 although recently very much restored. Tile almshouses consist of 3 cottages of 1 storey with ridge tile roof, eaves and gutter. Red brick elevation with plinth. 2 small end stacks. 3 lattice casements in oak frames with mullions and transoms and triangular eadpieces. 3 vertically panelled oak doors in wide frames with carved Tudor eadpieces. Small wooden plaque in centre with ate and inscription referring to recent restoration. Listing NGR: TQ5182361595
