LEIGH LEIGH 1. 5280 Church Hill (West Side) Church Hill Cottages TQ 5446 19/643 II 2. 1856 (Datestone over door) probably by George Devey. 2 storey, 3 windows. High pitched, fancy tiled roof with 2 pairs of ridge-chimney shafts joined at cornice. Red brick with diaper of pale blue headers. Similar headers form chimney quoins. Projecting centre section under half-timbered, plaster-filled, bargeboarded gable. Stone quoins to this piece and to angles. Gauged brick arched to 3-light iron casements windows, with stone cill, in chamfered reveals. Gauged brick Tudor arch to plank door with studded fillets. 1-storey right extension, possibly workshop. Church Hill Cottages shall be amended to read No 1 (Church Hill House) and Bell Cottage.
