Composite building standing at corner of the main road and facing the green, partly C18 and with early Cl9 additions, The original C18 portion is of painted brick with continuous painted base and stucco on 1st floor. Projecting boarded eaves and gutter. Ridge tile roof with end stacks. 2 storeys and 2 hip tiled dormers. Ground floor. Cl9 glazed and panelled door in centre with octagon projecting bay to right with flat roof and containing sash windows with bars. 1 casement window to left. First floor. 2 casements. Painted panel with inn sign in centre. 2 dormers above with lattice casements. To right, early Cl9 addition of 2 storeys, painted brick, projecting boarded eaves and gutter. Ridge Welsh slate roof. Ground floor. Large tripartite sash indow with bars under flat segmental arch. First floor. Large similar tripartite window. To extreme left. 1 storey wing with ridge pantile roof.
The King's Head Public House, Dormers, and garden wall Heath Cottage and Bessels Cottage form a group.
