Carthorse stable. Circa mid C19, C20 repairs. Framed construction, clad with weatherboarding; peg-tile roof.
Plan: Simple rectangular plan on a west east axis, facing north. The west end wall has been rebuilt in concrete block.
Exterior: Single-storey with 4 stable doors on the front (north) and a window in the centre. Roof half-hipped at ends.
Interior: The original stall partitions survive with the names of the horses painted on the rear wall which is matchboarded - Prince, Duke, Darling, Dolly, etc.
Roof: Jowelled wallposts support a clasped purlin queen post roof with a ridgeboard. The roof has suffered from racking and has been repaired.
Part of a good farmstead group at Rumshed Farm, formerly called St Julian's Farm. The parish and district boundaries run through the farmhouse, part of which is in Sevenoaks parish.
