Description

TQ 64 NE EAST PECKHAM BUSH ROAD (east side) 3/43 Church of the Holy Trinity - II 1842 by Whichcord and Walker in neo-Decorated style. Simple two-cell church. Coursed rubble stone, tiled roof. Nave: 5 bays with tall lancet windows. Apse: 5 bays, again lancet windows. All bays divided by buttresses. West Front:: Gabled belfry. Triple window beneath, centre taller than outer pair, with drip moulds over. Pair of buttresses below, flanking pointed arched doorway with corbelled string-course over, between buttresses. Doorway with moulded columns and drip- stone over. Ribbed and studded board doors with heavy hinges. Porch to south. Interior: Roof with scissor-crossed rafters resting on corbels holding scutcheons. 4 aedicules on wall of apse. West Gallery. Stone front on marble columns. Listing NGR: TQ6638949088
