Wealden hall-house . C15. Exposed framing with plaster infilling.  Steep hipped plain tiled roof with tall projecting brick stack to right.  First floor over- hangs to right and left of centre, supported on joists and corner brackets. 2 storeys, 3-window facade to 3-bay house.   Odd C19 casements throughout. Entrances to Nos 140 & 142 in main block with boarded doors.  Weather-boarded 2-storey, L window extension with tiled roof to left, containing entrance to No 144.  Until recently this extension was wheelwright's shop and smithy.
