Public House. Late C15 or early C16 hall-house with C17 and C18 alterations, partially demolished when the railway cutting was built in the C19 and reclad. Timber-framed building, refaced in brick with tiled roof. 2 projecting gables and 2 bays. Interior has plain crown post roof with fitments for garderobe hanging over rear. Stair tower with solid wood steps and turned newel heads but no balusters. Panelled 1st floor room with Jacobean chimneypieces with carving. Oak panelling to bar.
