TQ 74 SW MARDEN GOUDHURST ROAD (west side) 3/50 Barn about 30 metres west of Great Cheveney House GV II Barn. Early C16 or earlier. Timber framed, weatherboarded, with plain tile roof. 3 timber-framed bays, running east-west, with central midstrey. Hipped roof. Full-height double doors to north. Weatherboarded south porch with eaves jettied to south, and with hipped roof and full-height double doors. Lean-tos to north and south. Interior: gunstock-jowled posts. Arch braces to central tie- beams. Two plain crown-posts, each with head braces and one foot brace. Lapped collars. Curved tension braces trenched past midrail to each wall, except south-east corner. Lath and daub infilling above midrail to both sides of end bays. Side-purlin roof with curved queen-posts, to lean-to. Listing NGR: TQ7358142242
