WEST FARLEIGH LOWER ROAD TQ 75 SW (East side) 2/23 The Old Parsonage 23-5-67 GV II
Parsonage, now house. C17 or earlier with late C18 or early C19 facade. Painted brick to ground floor of front and left return elevations. Exposed broadly-spaced studding with painted brick infilling to ground floor of rear gable end of left wing. First floor weatherboarded. Plain tile roof. South-facing, and built at right-angles to road. Left end section (nearest road) apparently framed as a cross-wing, projecting to rear and returning for short distance to right, wrapping across rear of main range. Left section 2 storeys and attic with higher eaves than right section; right section 2 storeys. Roof of left section hipped to front and rear, rear hip returning along short rear section and terminating in gable. Roof of right section hipped to right. Multiple red brick stack towards left end of right section, and rear stack to short rear return section. Small gabled two-light dormer to front hip of left section. Irregular fenestration of 3 windows; one twelve-pane sash to front gable of left section, and one two-light horizontally-sliding sash and one three- light casement to right section. Sash with narrow margin lights to ground floor of left section. Door of six fielded panels, with lean-to hood under stack. Left return elevation (facing road) has one central twelve- pane sash, two tripartite sashes to ground floor, and door of six flush panels with flat bracketed hood towards centre. Two-storey rear addition filling area between right section and rear left return. Interior not inspected.
