HOLLINGBOURNE PILGRIMS WAY TQ 85 NW (South Side) 1/168 Forge Cottages 8.7.85 GV II House row. C18, with C16 core and later C20 alterations. Timber framed. Ground floor painted brick, first floor tile-hung. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and garret on painted brick plinth. Boxed wooden eaves cornice. Roof half-hipped to left. Brick ridge stack to left of centre and multiple brick ridge stack to right gable end. Irregular fenestration of five 2-light casements, 2 to right leaded. One 3-light leaded casement to ground floor. Pair of ribbed doors with single segmental head, under left stack. Interior: only partly inspected. Gunstock-jowled posts to first floor. C18 partitions. Chamfered beams and joists. C18 clasped purlin roof with reducing principal rafters. Included for group value. Listing NGR: TQ8444655370
