Description

HEADCORN WATER LANE TQ 84 SW (West side) 7/114 Place -Farmhouse 26.4.68 GV II Farmhouse. Early C16 or earlier with later alterations. Timber framed. Front elevation and right gable end red brick in Flemish bond. Rear elevation with exposed framing and plaster infilling. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and attics. Front elevation unevenly divided by full-height plain brick pilasters into narrow right and left end bays, narrow stack bay second from left, and 2 equal-length bays towards centre. Clasping pilasters to corners. Steeply pitched hipped roof. Multiple brick ridge stack towards left end. Gabled dormer. Irregular fenestration of 5 casements; one 3-light to each of left end bay and 2 central bays, and one 2-light to stack bay and to right end bay. Boarded door with flat hood, up 1 step under stack.
