HEADCORN HIGH STREET TQ 8344 (North side) 10/68 Nos. 33-37 [Odd) (The Mortgage Shop, Lloyds Bank and A.P. Davis, Chemist) GV II Shop row. No. 33 early C17 or earlier, Nos. 35 and 37 mid C19, possibly with earlier core. No. 33 timber framed, with painted tile-hanging to first floor. Nos. 35 and 37 red brick with occasional grey headers in Flemish bond. Plain tile roofs. Nos. 35 and 37 parallel to street, with No. 33 at right-angles to left, ground floor flush with No. 35. 2 timber-framed bays to No. 33, that to front possibly built as shop. 2 storeys. No. 33 jettied to front and rear. Steeply-pitched hipped roof to No. 33, with higher ridge than Nos. 35 and 37. Ridge stack towards left end No. 35. Irregular fenestration of 3 windows; one 4-pane sash to No. 33, and one 4-pane and one 6-pane sash in open boxes to Nos. 35 and 37. Canted plate-glass shop front partly beneath jetty, to No. 33. Shop fronts with small rectangular panes to Nos. 35 and 37. Half-glazed doors; beneath jetty to right of No. 33, to right side of No. 35 and to centre of No. 37. Interior: only partly inspected. Exposed framing to No. 33 with evidence for partitions and stair position. Small first-floor fireplace to No.33 with 4-centred arched wooden bressumer. Listing NGR: TQ8344044235
