Description

TQ 778 587 BOXLEY 5/51 Engine House II Engine house. C19. Red. brick in Flemish bond with buff brick quoins and plain tile roof. Octagonal. Roof rises to a point with shaft of wood protruding from apex. Large wood diamond mullion windows on south and west sides. Full height plank doors on east side. Rectangular shed, possibly added, at north west end: red brick in Flemish bond with plain tile roof, hipped at north end, with 2 window openings under eaves in west wall. Cogged capstan remains in centre. Said to have pumped water from tanks to Park House. Listing NGR: TQ7733258920
