CASTLE ROAD 1. 5278 ALLINGTON (South East Side) Dovecote to the east of Allington Castle TQ 75 NE 9/223 30.7.5l. II GV
2. One of a pair built in the C12 as part of the Castle which was destroyed in 1174. Said by Lord Conway to be the earliest dovecote in England. A circular stone dovecote without a roof but retaining the pigeon holes.
All the listed buildings at Allington Castle form a group.
