Description

ULCOMBE TQ 851 503 3/167 Ulcombe Hill Farmhouse 26.4.68 (formerly listed as Ulcombe Hill) II Farmhouse. Late C17/C18 with mid C19 alterations. Timber framed. South elevation clad on ground floor with chequered red and grey brick. Ground floor of left gable end stone. First floor hung with fishscale tiles. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and cellar on stone plinth. Hipped roof. Slightly projecting brick end stacks. Irregular fenestration to south of four 9-pane glazing bar-sashes. Panelled door towards centre, under trellised porch. Short timber-framed wing to left separately framed but probably of similar date, with brick ridge stack. Interior: exposed beams. Clasped purlin roof to wing, with diminishing principal rafters. Inglenook fireplace to wing in Flemish bond. Marked on O.S. map as Hill Farm. Listing NGR: TQ8480249180
