LOWER STONE STREET 1. 5278 (West Side) No 2 TQ 7655 NW 2/35 30.7.51. II GV 2. Early C19. 2 storeys stuccoed, the ground floor rusticated. Stringcourse, cornice and parapet. 3 sashes with glazing bars intact. Round-headed windows on the ground floor in moulded architrave surrounds set in arcading with keystone over. On the 1st floor there are tall square-headed windows with architraves over, the centre one with pediment also. The building is flanked by slightly recessed wings of a single storey each containing a doorway with balustraded parapet over, but the south wing has had a 1st floor added with a small window. The doorways in these wings are round-headed, the north one set in arcading with a semi-circular tympanum and door of 6 rounded panels, the south one with pilasters, projecting cornice, semi circular fanlight and door of 6 fielded panels.
