TQ 75 NE BOXLEY THE STREET (east side) 5/98 Table tomb to Lushington Family circa 9 yards east of Chancel of Church of St Mary and All Saints G.V. II Table tomb. Early to mid C19. Stone on stone base with moulded plinth and corniced lid. Side panels recessed in beaded surrounds. Central panels fielded in beaded surrounds. The whole tomb and entrance to vault surrounded by an outer plain stone plinth formerly bearing railings. End panels plain. South side to Edmund Henry Lushington Esquire died 183(9?) and his wife Sophia, died 1811, Louise Sophia Lushington their youngest daughter, died 1831 and Henry Lushington their second son, died 1833. Date and place of birth and place of death given for each person. North side bearing legend that tomb raised by the remaining children of Edmund Henry and Sophia Lushington and is also sacred to memory of Edmund Henry, only son of Edmund Law Lushington and Cecilia his wife , died 1836 and of Emily, second daughter of Edmund Law Lushington and Cecilia Lushington, died 1868 (?).
