Description

TQ 74 SW MARDEN GOUDHURST ROAD (west side) 3/54 Tanner House 23.5.67 GV II Farmhouse. C18 or earlier, with early C19 facade. Ground floor of front elevation red and grey brick in Flemish bond. Ground floor of left return elevation smaller red and grey bricks in English bond. First floor tile-hung.Plain tile roof. 2 storeys. Hipped roof, left hip returning to rear. Brick stack in front slope of roof to right of centre. Gable end stack to right. Irregular fenestration of 5 sashes with thin glazing-bars; two 16-pane and one 12-pane (over door) to left of stack, two 16-pane to right. Splayed rubbed brick vousoirs to ground-floor windows. Half-glazed and panelled door with rectangular fanlight with radiating glazing-bars and flat corniced hood under second window from left. Rear return wing to left with hipped roof, and with ridge stack set towards front. Rear lean-to. Interior not inspected. Listing NGR: TQ7325441526
