2. Refronted in early C18. 2 storeys painted brick, Steeply pitched old tiled roof 3 dormers, 2 of them hipped. 5 sashes with verticals only set in moulded architraves. Later C19 shopfronts. No 9 has panelled risers. Left. side entrance has a Bull shop sign.
Nos 1 to 9 (consec) and Nos 38 to 44 (consec) Burgate together with Nos 1 to 8A (consec) and Nos 10 to 16 Mercery Lane form a group.
