Findspot record TR 34 SW 1847 - Possible Medieval or early post medieval grave stones, Biggin Street, Dover
Summary
Fragments from two possible grave stones were uncovered during works associated with the construction of the Post Office on Biggin Street, Dover in 1912-1913. One is a square pilaster with emblems of morality and is from a 16th or early 17th century tomb; a piece with ribbon and foliage work may belong with it. Another with two tangent circles, containing deeply turned inner circles and round central sinkings, this is of a possible 13th century date. (location accurate to the nearest 50m based on available information)
