Monument record TR 34 SW 1848 - Medieval walling, Biggin Street, Dover.
Summary
Two sections of Medieval walling were discovered during works associated with the construction of the post office on Biggin Street. Dover in 1912-1913. The upper wall was of Flemish brick and rubble and cut into the lower one which was of chalk laid on ‘stiff clay’, probably spread over the peaty soil. (location accurate to the nearest 2m based on available information)
