Full Description
Seceders from the town's Baptist Church founded a new place of worship in the early 20th century. Services were held above a shop until the Douglas Road Mission Church was erected in 1912. It changed its name in 1920 to the Independent Church and again in 1954 to its present name. It is shown on the 1912-52 and current O/S maps and is still in use.
