Summary

During an archaeological investigation at 1-7 Cowgate Hill, Dover in Kent ahead of the development of the site into flats two areas of Roman walling and an area of polished roman floor was uncovered. The site is situated within the footprint of the Roman fort of the Classis Britannica and so these features are likely to be associated with this. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
