Full Description
The Dog and Duck Hotel was a public house and hotel located on the northern side of Canterbury Road, Margate. The modern Dog and Duck was built in approximately 1930 to replace an earlier pub of the same name which had been on the same site since the early 19th-century. The modern building remained in use as a pub and hotel until the early 2000s, and was demolished in 2016. (1)
The remains of an earlier ninteenth-century cellar were found within the modern basement. This most likely represents the cellar of the earlier pub building. (2)
