Full Description

Two Roman, globular bodied glass perfume bottles, one with a long neck, were located on Priory Hill, Dover in 1949. The bottles were donated to Dover Museum in 1949 where they are located still. Numerous finds of Roman material, including a quantity of vessels containing cremation burials, have been found on Priory Hill, suggesting that this is the possible location of a Roman cemetery. There is no further information available about the location or circumstances of this find. (1)
