Findspot record TR 34 SW 1899 - Roman pottery and CBM finds made on Biggin Street, Dover in 1949

Summary

A number of finds of a Roman date were made on Biggin Street, Dover in 1949 and donated to Dover Museum. The finds include a handle of a plain clay Roman Amphora which bears a potters stamp that reads reads IMIO (?), 7-fluted beaker of a hard brown clay which had been graphite coated and had roulette notched girth lines and a portion of red Roman tile with mortar. (location accurate to the nearest 100m based on available information)
