Full Description
(TQ77865120) Celtic coin of the Trinovantes or Cunobelin (probably) and dated to the early 1st century AD. Ref MSRC-NEWBR-IA-1, found by metal detection near Maidstone in 1988. The coin is of AE, is 10-12 mm in diameter and weighs 0.88 gm. The obverse side is Celticized horse right, CAM below and the reverse side is Celticized horse left, M below, off-centre. It is apparently an unpublished type and does not appear in any catalogue references. It is almost certainly of Cunobelin as from Camulodunum mint. (1)
