Full Description
(TR3363) A Celtic coin dated to c 10-20 AD, of the Trinovantes or Cunobelin ref TWRA-WILKA-IA-9, was found by metal detection at Cottington Hill in 1991. The coin is made from AE, is 15.25 mm in diameter and weighs 1.70 gm. It depicts a Celticized Pegasus left, on the obverse and a Victory left on the reverse,. Catalogue reference VA 1973-1 and it is of type Trinovantian U. The coin is extremely worn. (1)
