Monument record TQ 77 SW 1095 - Probable military feature, Bunters Hill Road
Summary
A possible Second World War military installation, possibly a gun emplacement, is visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s, and has been mapped as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. The installation comprises at least four small temporary buildings arranged along a track which leads south off Bunters Hill Road, between Noke Street Farm and the northern edge of Frindsbury. Some structures were visible on photographs taken in August 1954, but all features had been removed by August 1961.
