Full Description

Approximate area occupied by residential huts, mess halls, surgeries etc in 1946. Not examined because it is MOD land.

A 2020 desk-based assessment of the site described it as "an area covering approximately 560 metres long by 524 metres wide is located south west of the Site and was the location of the residential huts, mess halls, surgeries etc. forming part of RAF Manston during World War II. This area still forms part of
Ministry of Defence land and elements of these structures may still survive on the site" (from the original report, 1).
