Full Description
(TR3363) LIA coin c 100 BC of the Cantii, ref TWRA-WILKA-IA-14. Discovered at Cottington Hill by metal detection in 1991. The coin is made from cast bronze potin, is 17 mm (sprue 6 mm) in diameter and 2.03 gm in weight. The obverse side shows a Celticized head of Apollo left, vertical line through neck and the reverse shows a Celticized bull charging right. Catalogue reference VA 108-3. Cantian B. (1)
