Findspot record TR 36 SW 82 - Late Iron Age coin, Cottington Hill, Minster
Summary
An Iron Age coin was found by a metal detectorist on Cottington Hill in 1991. The coin was found in good condition ans was subsequently dated to the mid to late 1st century BC. It was made of silver and showed a Celticized head and a horse on its sides. A study of the coin reportedly found it to be of a previously unknown type. It is also possibly British in origin. The present location of this artefact is unknown.
