Full Description
(TQ84455585) LIA coin dated to c 85-50 BC of the Cantii tribe, ref no MSRC-GARYR-IA-1. It was discovered by metal detection near Hollingbourne in 1988. The coin is made of cast bronze potin, measures 17.5 mm in diameter and weighs 1.59 gm. The obverse side shows a Celticized head of Apollo right, central pellet. The reverse side shows a Celticized bull charging left, straight lines, central pellet. The catalogue reference is VA 129-1. Type Cantian D. (1)
