Full Description
(TQ78855105) North-eastern Gaulish coin dated to c 65-50 BC, ref MSRC-GARYR-IA-5. Discovered by metal detection near Parkwood in 1988. The coin which is an AV quarter-stater measures 11-11.5 mm in diameter and weighs 1.32 gm. The obverse side is almost plain. The reverse shows a geometric pattern, tree-like object in centre, lines and curves nearby, small curve either side. The catalogue reference is VA 69-3 and it is of type Gallo-Belgic D. (1)
