Full Description
(TQ65996597) LIA coin dated to c 10 BC-c 10 AD of the Trinovantes, Sego, ref MSRC-PALMR-IA-1. The coin was discovered near Meopham by metal detection in 1991. It is made of AE, measures 15.25-15.75 mm and weighs 1.52 gm. The obverse side shows a geometric pattern of eight-pointed star. Points end in circles and are joined by crescents. The reverse has a sphinx left, pellet-in-ring motif to right. Catalogue reference VA 1855-1. Type Trinovantian P. (1)
