Full Description
(TQ76405935) An IA coin dated to c 85 BC-c 50 BC of the Cantii, ref MSRC/AUSTB/IA/11. It was found at Boarley Farm at Boxley by metal detection in 1992. The coin is made of cast bronze potin, measures 16.5 mm and weighs 1.54 gm. The obverse side shows a Celticized head of Apollo right. The reverse side shows a Celticized bull with straight lines charging left, pellet in centre. The catalogue reference is VA 129-1 and is Cantian D type. (1)
