Full Description
The King’s School, Canterbury stands within the historic Cathedral precinct, occupying buildings ranging from the medieval period to the C21. Mitchinson’s Day House stands on the site of the medieval Almonry chapel, which was demolished to make way for subsequent school buildings, shortly after the opening of the new School House in 1864. The building is a house for day pupils, including a housemaster's house and chemistry laboratories in the basement. Built 1978 -1983 by architects Robert Maguire and Keith Murray for the King's School, Canterbury.
The building was consdered for Listing in 2017 but it was decided that this was not appropriate. (1)
