Full Description
The Baptist Church in Hawkhurst was built in 1892. It is shown on the 1897-1900, 1907-23, 1929-52 and current O/S maps and is still in use.
Baptist chapel of 1872 by GF Hawkes of Birmingham, Red brick with painted stone dressings. The front, which is gabled with intermediate stepped buttresses rising to pinnacles, has a triple-arched entrance loggia with an elaborate pointed-arched window. (1)
