Full Description

Between September 2008 and January 2010, AW Heritage Srvices undertook several watching briefs at the Historic Dockyard, Chatham. During the watching brief in the Historic Dockyards, several areas of the docks were cleared of rubble layers revealing new areas of the building and some new finds that had been previously overlooked. This included a layer of bricks that probably formed part of the old metal mill. In the external trenches there were more finds including a small stretch of narrow gauge railway track (1).
