Site of Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion chapel in Mount Ephraim built in 1769 as a timber-framed building and enlarged in the 19th century. It was rebuilt in 1867 by Wimble and Taylor of London, and renamed the Emmanuel Church, but was demolished in 1974.

Full Description

Emmuanuel Congregational Church was built in 1867 and demolished in 1974. It replaced a Countess og Huntingdon's Connexion Chapel built in 1769 on the same site. The church/chapel is shown on the 1862-75, 1897-1900, 1907-23 and 1929-52 maps. The site became the forecourt for the former Kent & West Sussex Hospital.
