Full Description

(TR33805780) IA coins (10) were found near Sandwich by metal detectors in the late 1980s. Coin Ref no.s : TWRA-TYMAC-IA-25, 29, 36, 36, 37, 38, 61, 67, 72, 98. (See catalogue for details). The coins vary in date from c 50 BC to 10 AD and from tribes including the Ambiani, Cantii and Trinovantes. They are all made of AE and their weights vary from 0.93 gm up to 2.28 gm. The coins also vary in condition but the designs on most of them can be clearly identified. (1)
