(TR337553) 63 LIA coins were discovered near Worth by metal detection in the 1980's. Coin Reference nos. TWRA-TYMAC-IA-101, 102, 105, 106, 107, 108, 92, 93, 100, 81, 85, 90, 74, 77, 78, 66, 71, 60, 64, 65, 56, 57, 59, 51, 52, 55, 43, 44, 49, 40, 41, 42, 26, 28, 31, 19, 20, 24, 31, 19, 20, 24, 13, 16, 17, 5, 8, 9, 1, 2, 3, 17, 18, 14, 15, 12, 13, 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3 (See Catalogue for details). The coins vary in date from c 100 BC to c 43 AD and tribes such as the Cantii, Trinovantes and the Atrebates. Most have easily identifiable designs such as the Head of Apollo on the obverse and the charging bull on the reverse. The earlier coins are made from cast bronze potin whilst the later ones are made from AE. Each coin weighs from between 0.87 gm up to 3.77 gm. Most of the coins appear in catalogue reference VA and they all vary in condition. (1)
