Full Description

(TR33955765) Ten Iron Age coins were found at Archers Low Farm, near Sandwich by metal detection in the 1980's. Coin Reference no.s: TWRA-TYMAC-IA-32, 14, 18, 99, 63, 68, 70, 37, 33, 35. (See Catalogue for details) The coins vary in date from c 55 BC up to 20 AD and from tribes including the Cantii, Trinovantes and also tribes from Northern Gaul. The weights vary from 1.40 gm to 3.39 gm. The coins all vary in condition from excellent to worn, but the designs can be clearly identified. (1)
