Building number 70, Royal Marines School of Music. A pair with number 69, this building was probably built in 1812. By 1872 it had been extended to the rear. This extension was partly replaced by the detension quarters which were added between 1872 and 1898. The building is built of brick and is partly rendered. The building is now used as the Welfare office and the detension quarters are no longer in use. Part of North Barracks, Building No.70.
